TBR | July 2019

I went through a major slump in June and I am finally out of it!  I'm really in the mood for Adult Thrillers!  I am joining in 2 readathons in July and I'll post my TBR for those closer to when they start.  Here are some of the books I plan to get to:

The First Mistake by Sandie Jones | Domestic suspense about a wife, her husband, and the woman who is supposedly her best friend.  I really like domestic thrillers so this one sounds right up my alley.

Mine by Courtney Cole | When Tessa Taylor unlocked her husband Ethan’s iPad to discover nude photos from a twenty-six-year-old bombshell named Lindsey, her seemingly perfect life came to a screeching halt.  This sounds soo good!!

When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O'Neal | Her sister has been dead for fifteen years when she sees her on the TV news…  I'm on the blog tour for this one and it sounds really intriguing.

Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale | Lifestyle journalist Ella Skye remembers every celebrity she interviewed, every politician she charmed between the sheets, and every socialite who eyed her with envy. The chance meeting with her husband, Damien; their rapid free fall into love; and their low-key, intimate wedding are all locked in her memory. But what she can’t remember is the tragic car accident that ripped her unborn child from her. Ella can’t even recall being pregnant.  I'm on the blog tour for this one, as well.

With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo | With her daughter to care for and her abuela to help support, high school senior Emoni Santiago has to make the tough decisions, and do what must be done. The one place she can let her responsibilities go is in the kitchen, where she adds a little something magical to everything she cooks, turning her food into straight-up goodness. Still, she knows she doesn’t have enough time for her school’s new culinary arts class, doesn’t have the money for the class’s trip to Spain and shouldn’t still be dreaming of someday working in a real kitchen.  I really enjoying cooking so this one sounds really good.

Stars of Alabama by Sean Dietrich | When fifteen-year-old Marigold becomes pregnant amid the Great Depression, she is rejected by her family and forced to fend for herself. And when she loses her baby in the forest, her whole world turns upside down.  I'm on the blog tour for this one, too!

Are any of these books on your TBR?  Have you read any of these books?  Let me know in the comments!!
