My Thoughts

Emma and her best friend Andy, have been friends for years.  She goes over to Andy's house all the time, but just recently has she been noticing Andy's big brother Jesse.  Emma really starts to actually like Jesse in a way more than just Andy's brother.  But Emma also likes Deegan, who is a gorgeous senior.

When prom comes around Deegan asks Emma and she is thrilled to go with him.  But she also has Jesse in the back of her mind.  So she has her friend Elise go with Jesse,  She later finds out that Jesse really wanted to go to prom with Emma.  While at prom Emma witnesses something very bad, between Jesse and Deegan.  Later on, Jesse takes his life for what Deegan did.  Emma is absolutely heart broken.

While the premise of this book sounded really good.  I could not stand the writing at all.  I felt like the author was all over the place.  The chapters did not flow at all!  There were also, some major errors in the book, that I really could not get over.  The last 50 pages, I pretty much just skimmed.

I think if the writing wasn't so bad the book would not of been that bad.  The plot of the story was really good and there were some strong topics that are good to discuss.  But I just couldn't get past the writing.
