NewYearsAThon TBR | January ReadAThon

First readathon for 2019, YAY!!  I love readathons, it really pushes me to read more.  I have 4 books planned, so I really think I can accomplish this.  If I read all 4 books I will definitely add in some books.  The challenges are:

1.  Read a 5 star prediction
2.  Read a book you meant to read in 2018
3.  Choose the 12th, 19th, 20th, and 39th books on your shelves and randomly select one
4.  Read a book that’s being adapted in 2019
5.  Choose one of the three hosts reading resolutions and do it during the readathon:  Read a chapter a night, read a classic or multitask every day while listening to an audiobook
6.  Complete at least 2 challenges

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys | This book will complete will two challenges, 5 star prediction and book that is being made into a movie in 2019.  I really think I will absolutely fall in love with this book.   This is an historical fiction set in WWII.  It follows three individuals from East Prussia, whose paths converge en route to the ship that promises salvation.

The Winter People  by Jennifer McMahon |  This book will complete the meant to read in 2018 challenge.  This is an historical fiction thriller.  In 1908, a woman is found dead behind her house just months after her daughter's tragic death.  Then we jump to present day where two sisters are living in the same house as the woman that was found dead in 1908.  One of the sisters disappears and the other sister in searching for clues finds a mysterious diary that is linked to the woman in 1908.  This premise sounds really intriguing.

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia | This book will complete the random book pick challenge.  This is a YA contemporary.  It is about a girl who has schizophrenia and then she meets a guy, but she must realize if he is real or a hallucination.  This book sounds super interesting!!

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee |  This book will complete the read a classics challenge.  I have never read this book, I know crazy huh!!  I think a lot of people read this book in high school, however my school did not read this.  This is a classic that I really want to read and check off my list that I have read it!!  This book is about a childhood and prejudice in a Southern town.

Have you read any of this books?  Are you participating in NewYearAThon?  Let me in know in the comments!
